Kelvin (K): Unit of measurement on the absolute temperature scale, used to describe the color content of continuous spectrum light sources.
kHz - kilohertz: The frequency of a radio carrier wave measured in thousands of cycles per second. 1 kHz = 1,000 Hertz.
Kilo: Stands for the letter K in the phonetic alphabet.
Kilowatt: Unit of 1000 watts. Used to measure the power of an electrical light source.
Knot (kt): one nautical mile per hour (never one knot per hour), the standard unit of aviation speed measurement. One knot equals 1.1515 mph; one nautical mile equals 6,080 feet. A nautical mile is one minute of one degree of latitude.
