Zonal Flow: Large-scale atmospheric flow in which the east-west component is dominant.
Zone system: Is the method of determining exposure and development required for individual scenes, invented by Ansel Adams. It is based on analysis of subject luminosities in terms of ten gray tones, labeled zones 0 through X and previsualizing them as print densities
Zoom lens: The zoom lens has a variable focal length e.g. 35-350mm allowing for a closer or farther view of a subject, without changing perspective. This lens is a must for fast action or aerial photography.
